This painted Sculpture is a unique and bespoke piece of sculpture beyond anything in the art world today. This piece of fine art was created from a mould taken from a woman's body at Ken Clarke's studio "Body Sculpture"
where all materials have been carefully selected from the earths most basic natural gifts of water, seaweed, reed, rock, and clay. The mould and sculpture have been crafted by Ken Clarke, who has had 40 years in the Arts of
International Film & TV. Life-casting is no secret, as it dates back thousands of years to creation of death masks. Ken has put life, not death in his life-casting sculptures through his commission based company "Body Sculpture".
He has worked and specialised in his craft evolving and searching to become the best in his field. You can view his lifes work in his studio based in Reading in Berkshire where you can call to make an appointment
to visit (over 18's only please).
Over the years Ken's business has experimented and tried new techniques with new R & D to develop one-off bespoke art and craft pieces of sculpture for future investment. Models have been interviewed, selected, moulded and
cast and Ken has produced a new material of blended cements and aggregates, with integral reinforcement, that keep them light, durable and hollow for the possibilities of water and lighting effects for interior or exterior
viewing. This new exciting medium has been formulated mainly for gardens, conservatories, showers, saunas, wet rooms, pools etc.
Ken is keen to announce new shoots and a new collaboration with a body painting company called "Boudicca Blue Bodyart Ltd" which is run and owned by 2 lovely female artists; Fi Patterson-Fraser and Jules Bentley. Fi and
Jules are both art college educated fine artists who paint commissioned canvasses, murals, glass and the human form. Through lengthy e-mails, phone calls and texting, along with mileage on the road, the 2 companies "Body
Sculpture" & "Boudicca Blue Bodyart Ltd" have come together to produce and craft their first bespoke piece of fine art; "From the Sacred Spring". This beautiful sculptures fine art has been planned and designed by hours
of research by Fi and Jules and the painted finish has been applied by hand via many layers of specialised paints that will not fade, are waterproof and tactile to the touch. The paints allow water to flow over the
sculpture's surface to heighten interaction with this stunning piece of modern art. New designs and concepts are to follow from this new and exciting collaboration.
When sold, all design, planning sketches and colour swatches for this piece of work will be included as well as its photographic history of the model sitting for the moulding sessions, photos of the mould, casts at every
stage and the painting stages for this one-off bespoke work. All this will be part of the sale for its providence, investment and insurance documentation.
